While cambridge food is not the tastiest, they def. know how to eat in style. I ate at the dining hall in Qian Qian’s college (Caius College) twice and the experience seems to come straight out of a Harry Potter movie (long dining tables, candles, table at the head of the dining room for professors/fellows, etc.). We also went out to an orchard for “afternoon tea,” which appropriately consisted of a lovely garden setting with adorable picnic tables/chairs, darjeeling tea, scones w/ clotted cream (the cream doesn’t have clots..but your arteries will) and jam, and shitting birds (alex beyer’s bf fell victim to one of them). Overall, the experience was very…British. Gillian and I concluded that we understand Rich better after visiting.
