Perugia - beginnings

After about 2 weeks of traveling, I’ve finally arrived in Perugia and am in the process of settling down for the next 2 months.

A little fun fact about Perugia: the entire city is situated on a gigantic hill, with the center of the city (where I live) at the very top. my internship is in Solomeo, which is located at the very bottom of the hill, so I will definitely get my daily dose of cardio just walking back up to my apartment. I still have yet to figure out how to get to my internship, haha.

Perugia is so gorgeous, but I kind of wish I knew more people here. It’s gotten pretty lonely since I’ve arrived. Although the city is known for being filled with university students (both the University of Perugia and the University of Foreigns are here), it’s still hard for me to meet people since I’m not in classes with them. Right now, the only person that I’ve met (besides my landlady) is my current roommate. I’d say I’ve gotten pretty close to her, but she’s a little quiet and definitely has her own thing going on. I also only see her at night, right before we go to sleep. I have a feeling that things are going to get better though…
